Day 17 – Savannah 1720miles (Home is where the heart IS)

If you bring your heart with you,… your home. Even if it’s metaphorically ‘bleeding’ or ‘on your sleeve’ I think the connotation hold much more in terms of where you place your heart then the majority rule of where you place your head. Not that I don’t miss my fireplace and the smell of that old wood barn, and my good friends and family in CT. My heart rests always there, but I learned on this trip that if you bring your heart into a situation, you possibility for positive outcomes is greatly increased if not guarauteed.

We encountered all types of energy on this journey and it did help me transform and grow. Starting with Annalee and the Road Song Lullaby before the trip I was able to write about 6 more tunes. I haven’t figured out exactly how to thank all the lovely people I met and who supported me along the road but I imagine the channel’s I was able to open during the trip will hold some clue on the answer. I’ve learned or reinforced one thing for sure though, Music IS Inclusion. Thanks Jeff Johnson, your speech was aptly timed and I took it on the road. Music occurs when it’s inclusive, search your heart and you’ll know its’ true!

I rested, learned a little banjo and a little harp, and played 3 shows while in Savannah and man were they fun! 😉
